IDBI Bank Empanelled for Disbursement of Pension and Family Pension for Government of West Bengal


Kolkata, February 17, 2026: IDBI Bank has been empanelled by the Government of West Bengal for disbursement of pension and family pension to State Government employees, marking a significant strengthening of the Bank’s government banking presence in the state.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between IDBI Bank and the Government of West Bengal formalized by the Government’s Notification No.133-F(Y), E-1231811, dated January 9, 2026. With this approval, the Bank is authorized to open pension accounts and facilitate pension and family pension payments through designated pensiondisbursing banks in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area and through state treasuries linked to such banks across West Bengal.
The empanelment is expected to enhance convenience for pensioners by providing access to IDBI Bank’s branch network and customercentric services.
In the 1st phase 64 branches covering all 23 districts of West Bengal are authorized to disburse pension. The authorized branches of IDBI Bank are:
Kolkata – Esplanade, Shakespeare Sarani, Brabourne Road, Park Street, Gariahat, Bhowanipore, Dum Dum, Shyambazar, Birati, Kankurgachi, Entally, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Bansdroni, Sinthirmore, Sodepur and Kestopur.
Rest of West Bengal – Bankura, Bushnupur, Suri, Bolpur, Rampurhat, Berhampore, Jangipur, Kandi, Barddhaman, Ashram More, Durgapur, Katwa, Purulia, Barasat, Barrackpore, Basirhat, Bidhannagar, Bongaon, Kalyani, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat, Baruipur, Dighirpar Canning, Sarisha, Konnagar, Haldia, Kharagpur, Howrah, Chandannagar, Medinipur, Tamluk, Domjur, Serampore, Uttarpara, Arambagh, Contai, Chinsurah, Jhargram, Uluberia, Raiganj, Malda, Siliguri, S.F.Road, Darjeeling, Balurghat, Cooch Behar, Gangarampur and Dinhata.
